District Six Museum tells the story of a displaced community. It draws on the personal and collective memories of those affected by the displacement resulting from the Group Areas Act (1950) during the apartheid years. The telling and creation of stories is at the heart of its work, aimed at giving voice to the cry of "never, never, never again."
